| | Board Member Susie is a fourth grade teacher at Chico Country Day School, and also teaches Environmental Education and Gardening every Friday to all of our students in all grades. Susie has been a staff member for 8 years, is the Staff Liaison to the Harvest Faire Committee, and is a founding member of the Outdoor Classroom committee, as well as the founder of our school's edible garden. Susie and her husband, Rick, have three children, one in junior high, one in high school, and one who is a college freshman. | |

| | Board Member Amy has been a member of the Board of Directors since July 2004. She is a graphic designer with her own firm, Art in Motion. She has been an active parent volunteer at CCDS for five years, coordinating school publicity and advertising, managing the publicity and tickets for the annual auction, and spending precious time in the classroom. She has also taken on the design of Partnership News. Raised in the Chico area, Amy has a B.A. in Communication from Santa Clara University and is happily married to her husband, Edson. They have two children who attend CCDS and a baby that will soon be a CCDS student! | |

| | Board Member Dawn presently works as an attorney/mediator. Initially, she started out as an attorney in children's court in Los Angeles. Her previous legal experience was as counsel to the Assembly and Senate, primarily in the areas of child abuse and delinquency. Dawn also worked for the Judicial Council where she traveled to juvenile courts throughout California to assist the courts as an attorney consultant.
Prior to becoming an attorney she was director for a refugee program, educational/vocational director for residential drug program and worked as a teacher and consultant for LA Unified, Garden Grove Unified and North OrangeCountyCommunity College districts. She has consulted and worked with numerous other community based programs.
Dawn and family came to Chico two years ago after her husband Walter, a heart specialist, was recruited by EnloeHospital to start up an electrophysiology program. They have a fourth grader, Justis, who is a student at Chico Country Day. Dawn sits on the board for North State Symphony and volunteers with the music program. She believes that music is a wonderful prevention/diversion program for allowing children to express themselves and have focus.

| | Eric Hoiland is the current Chair of the Board of Directors and comes to us as a community member. Eric has some history with Chico Country Day School since 1999 and has watched the school evolve and grow during the last few years. He firmly believes in the values and philosophy practiced at CCDS everyday. Eric has worked for the past 10 years at Butte College, providing basic skills assessment testing, academic advising, and transition services for new students starting community college. Through his experiences, he learned that the life skills taught at CCDS will have a profound impact on students’ success in high school and college. His primary reason for becoming a Board Member was to assist the Board with promoting these life skills. | |

| | Board Treasurer Vito is the Chief Financial Officer at Hignell Companies, and directs and oversees all finance and accounting functions for over 80 different business entities served by Hignell. Besides current property management and land development experience, Vito has extensive management, operations and finance experience in the retail construction supply industry, agriculture produce and transportation industry, non-profit organization administration, and as a consultant to other retail, commercial and medical industry clients. A California CPA since 1976, Vito has a Bachelor Science degree in Accounting from Golden Gate University, and is a member in good standing with both the American Institute of CPA’s and the California Society of CPA’s. Throughout the years, Vito’s community involvement include Board and Finance Committee Chair positions with private education institutions, leadership roles in Rotary International, as well as voluntary work in numerous civic events. | |

| | Board Vice Chair Matt was born and raised in Chico and attended CUSD schools through high school. He received both an undergraduate business degree and an MBA from CSU Chico and received his PhD in Marketing from ArizonaStateUniversity. He is currently a professor of marketing at CSU Chico and has lived in Phoenix and Philadelphia before returning home to Chico in 2000. Matt is an avid sports and outdoor enthusiast who enjoys running, hiking, biking, swimming, and all sports. He has completed several triathlons and recently completed his first marathon with his wife in San Diego. Matt and the love of his life Pamela were high school sweethearts and have been married for 14 years. They are the proud parents of Madison (Mrs. Proctor’s 2nd grade class) and Carson (Mrs. Fischer’s kindergarten class). | |

| | Board Member Jerry has over 39 years of experience in public education, retiring as Superintendent of Butte County Schools just a few years ago. During is tenure, he was Principal of Oakdale, the current CCDS site, Chapman, and McManus Elementary School, a classroom teacher in both Long Beach and Chico Unified School District's, the Director of Outdoor Education in Long Beach and Chico, and a part-time Professor of Education and Administration at CSU, Chico.
Jerry is affiliated with the Association of California School Administrators, California County Superintendents Association, California State PTA, Butte County Administrative Association, California Teachers Association, is a Phi Delta Kappa Life Member, and a CSU, Chico Distinguished Alumni. He also served in the US Army. Community service has always been very important, and he is a member in several community organizations including Oroville Rotary Club, Chico Kiwanis, Chico Breakfast Lions, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Oroville Salvation Army, and Butte/Glenn United Way. He and his wife, Cheri, live in Chico. | |

| | Board Member Amy was born and raised in Chico, graduated from CUSD schools, and graduated from CSU, Chico in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural business and Minor in Communication. Amy taught High School Agriculture, Sciences and Leadership at Quincy Senior High for two years and currently serves as Executive Officer to Modoc and Shasta LAFCOs or Local Agency Formation Commission, which is a state-mandated agency to oversee the boundaries of service-providing agencies such as special districts and cities. LAFCOs seek to decrease urban sprawl, promote orderly and efficient growth and protect agricultural lands. Amy’s most important and joyous job is as mom to a fabulous second grader, Dylan, and a new baby, Halle. Amy, her husband John, Dylan, and Halle, do a lot of camping and weekend trips around the North State, as well as family time with parents, grandparents, cousins, and aunts and uncles, many of whom remain in the North State. Her sister lives in Sweden with her family, so they often travel to Stockholm. Amy dabbles in photography as a hobby and does some event and wedding coordination as a side business. | |

| | Board Member, CCDS Teacher Nicole has been a part of Chico Country Day School for many years and in many different capacities. After completing her teaching credential at Chico State, she became a teacher for CCDS. She is currently teaching afternoon kindergarten. | |

| | Executive Director Margaret is currently the Executive Director of CCDS. She graduated with a Masters in Public Administration from CSU, Chico, and has a BA from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Prior to CCDS, she worked for a nonprofit health advocacy organization in Chico and an environmental firm in Phoenix. She grew up in Woodland, California and, she and her husband, Greg have two boys attending CCDS. An age group, high school, and collegiate swimmer, Margaret swims competitively with Chico Masters Swimming. | |

| | Board Member Dick is the owner of Promotion Products, and is an active member of many community organizations in Chico. He sits on the Board of the Boys & Girls Club of the North Valley, the CSU, Chico Advisory Board, the Enloe Hospital Foundation Board, among many others. He is also a member of Chico Rotary Club. He has two granddaughters attending Chico Country Day School. | |

| | Board Chair Chuck joined the Board in August 2005. He is Founder and Partner of M & T Construction, a local real estate development group. Chuck was instrumental in the move of CCDS and in renovations that had to occur on campus. He grew up in the Bay Area and graduated from CSU, Chico in Business Administration. He and his wife, Mikell, are dedicated CCDS parents and have four children, and three attend CCDS. Chuck is currently serving as Board Vice Chair. | |

| | CCDS Principal Paul is the Principal of Chico Country Day School. Previously, he was principal at Mountain Ridge Middle School in the Paradise Unified School District and at St. Thomas the Apostle Elementary School in Oroville. He has his Masters Degree from CSU, Chico in Educational Administration. Paul has lived in the Chico area for nearly 30 years and is married with two children. | |

| | Board Member Ken Petruzzelli grew up in Walnut Creek and graduated from the University of California at Davis with degree in political science and exercise physiology. He interned with the California State Assembly and later attended and graduated from the University of Pacific McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento. After admission to the State Bar, he moved to Chico to start work as an associate attorney with the law firm O'Laughlin & Paris LLP. An active runner and swimmer, Ken competes on a regular basis as a member of Chico Masters Swimming and as a member of the Chico Running Club. Ken's family, including his mom, have been teachers and educators, and Ken is happy to be contributing to education in Chico. | |

| | Board Secretary Karen is the mother of 3 children and has been a CCDS parent for 7 years. She holds a BA in child psychology & family relations and brings with her years of collaborative experience with families at the Children’s Center of the Stanford Community, and the Associated Student’s Children’s Center, Chico, both parent cooperatives. She is passionate about improving the quality of public education and is dedicated to the charter school movement. | |
