| | New and exciting changes to the CCDS Lunch Program:
This year, CCDS will be working with Chico Unified School District to provide healthy breakfast, lunch and Afterschool snacks to our students. These changes are highlighted in the back to school packet mailed home last week.

Milk prices have changed! Milk without hot lunch is available, and the cost is 50 cents. If a student is receiving free and reduced priced lunch and only wants milk, the cost is still 50 cents. Milk is free with hot lunch.
Middle school students will have their own lunch menu beginning the week of September 2. Caloric intake in the middle school grades must be higher than K-5. The Middle School food committee met last week and determined this months menu for middle schooler's.
Below are links to the Free & Reduced Priced Meal Applications, and our menu for August and September. CCDS will be utilizing CUSD's Nutrikids payment program. Open balances from 07/08 will be switched over from CCDS to the Nutrikids program, unless otherwise requested.
Please fill out the appropriate application to determine eligibility for the National School Lunch Program. Please read the letter home regarding the National School Lunch Program eligibility. For the forms, click for English or Spanish.
Heading back to school means making sure our kids are well-fed with nutritious options and ready to learn. Getting back on schedule probably means your child will need a snack to get through the morning or afternoon. Here are some great nutritious tips: Healthy snacking.
