Audacity Tasks
Corel VideoStudio Tasks
- Trim and Split: Import a video file from your practice folder, then show that you can trim the clip in both the preview window and the timeline. Lastly, split the clip into two parts. Show Mr. Massa when you are done.
- Multi-Trim: Import a video clip, then show Mr. Massa that you have successfully used the Multi-trim tool to trim a clip into several smaller clips.
- Clips: Import a video clip, then apply the following effects: change its color balance, reverse it, slow it down, and split the audio from the video. Show Mr. Massa when you are done.
- Titling: Import a video clip, then apply a title over the top. Change the text to appropriately label the video, then change its shape, color, animation style. Show Mr. Massa when you are done.
- Audio Mixer: Import a video clip and a sound file. Separate the audio from the video clip and mute it using the audio mixer tool. Then, place your imported sound clip into the timeline and use the audio mixer to apply the following effects: fade in at the beginning, fade out at the end, and change the volume levels in at least five places in the middle. Then enable surround sound. Once you've done that, play the file and move the room monitor around to see how it responds. Leave it somewhere other than in the middle and show Mr. Massa your progress.
- SmartSound: Using the smart sound tool, create a sound file to place in the timeline. Apply some different moods and instruments. Show Mr. Massa your progress when you've made something cool to listen to.
- Stop Motion: Let Mr. Massa know when you have finished watching this video.
- Smart Package: Import a video and sound clip, then use the Smart Package tool to save a packaged project to your desktop. BE SURE TO SAVE EVERYTHING TO YOUR DESKTOP. Then open the folder, and show Mr. Massa.
- Publish a Project: After watching Mr. Massa's lesson, create a cool video that you are happy with. You are saving this one, so make it good! Apply effects like fade in, fade out, etc. Perhaps you could make a music video out of the dancing clip and one of the songs in the practice folder. Be creative and show me what you can do! Once you've finished it, share it in two different formats. First, save a broadband WMV into the finished tasks folder on the dropbox (in the VideoStudio folder). Then, save a 16:9 DV copy of the video to your desktop (this might take awhile). Be sure to give these files appropriate file names.
