Deonna Collier

I have been a speech-language pathologist since 2022. In my internships I experienced different branches of speech therapy, but being at an elementary school was by far my favorite! I’m so lucky to be at CCDS and build relationships with small groups of students, their families, and my coworkers. We have an amazing community here.

My favorite teacher growing up was Mr. Pinkleman. He is fun, funny, a jokester, and encourages hands-on learning whenever possible. He is an artist, and I still to this day remember how to draw realistic fire flames and clouds thanks to him. I even got to work with Mr. Pinkleman as coworkers during my first year as an SLP! Full circle moment.

I got married in 2023, and my husband and I have two cute and crazy dogs! In my free time I love listening to audio books, playing with my dogs, spending time with family, and trying different classes on my Peloton. I’m excited for what’s to come this school year!
