Annalyse Silva

Hi CCDS! Hailing from Vacaville, I moved to Chico in 2016 to attend Chico State where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Health Science with an option in Education. I spent time after graduation working as a paraeducator, completing a CNA program, and working for Chico Area Parks and Recreation District.  

While my mind was set on sciences and nursing I kept finding my heart was called back to the classroom. And that’s where my journey at CCDS began! Working first as a substitute and then completing my student teaching at our school, it was clear that this was the community I wanted to join full time. So though this is my first year as a teacher, I find comfort in the relationships I’ve already formed with CCDS staff, students, and families alike. CCDS provides the learning style I only wish was available to me during my time in elementary school and I look forward to making learning accessible to all students. 

Outside of school, my life is surrounded by family, friends, dogs, and sports! I grew up playing both competitive soccer and volleyball, and in my home there was always some sport on the television- from hockey to tennis to cycling, we watched and cheered for it all. This has indeed helped shape my competitive spirit. I enjoy hosting game nights, attending sporting events and concerts, and vacationing with my loved ones.
