Hello CCDS! I am overjoyed to be joining the team as a 2nd grade teacher! This will be my second year teaching, but prior to that I have been a preschool teacher as well as a communications trainer. I earned my Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education along with my multiple subject credential at Grand Canyon University. I’m so excited to be a part of a school that embraces community connection and utilizes innovative educational practices that aim for joyful and deeper learning for our students.

I have two teachers that are an inspiration to me. One was my Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Drews. She provided a level of compassion and empathy that made me feel safe in the classroom to build up my confidence. The other one was my high school agriculture teacher, Mr. Green. He taught me dedication both within the community and academically can lead towards new aspirations. I now carry on their wisdom by always leading with empathy and dedication for my students, so they can discover their own aspirations on their educational journey.

Outside the classroom I enjoy exploring all the beautiful parks with my daughter and being out in nature, crafting, reading, and spending time with family and friends. I can’t wait to meet all my new students and their families! We are going to have a fun year!
